Great coins from the birthplace of all coinage. Thanks for posting them. My most recent coin purchase is this little silver coin from Ionia (located on the NW coast in modern day Turkey). It depicts a flying pig. Legend has it that this flying sow terrorized the area. There are several CT threads that describe this awesome coin. Anyone interested can search "pigasus" at CT. BTW, swarming swine are not seen in the wild very often.

nope. bought it off Ebay. for $60.00 no Certificate with it. KM#1143 I really liked the star design. There is a star design from Hungary that is somewhat similar that is on my want list that I can see buying with in 2 years from now. lol
