i agree its a challenge to find them without spots! i only got 2, spotless examples. they are a P and a D, so i am happy. i am still in shock, this is a permanent change! i had no clue, till a few days ago. i love this design.
umm, green, I beg to differ. There are two things that New Yorkers and Chicagoans will never ever agree on: Bagels and Pizza. 'nuff said
comming from an outsider i prefer...... new york style pizza:whistle: i guess my opinion don't matter much though, because i never had pizza actually in chicago, just local places chicago style pizza. the closest i have eaten was an "uno's" restaurant! i did work(pretty much run it) at a pizza place, and wanted a true chicago style pizza for the menu and found a really good recipe from some place in chicago, if that counts :rolling: i guess this got a little off topic, and need to be taken back.... wonder what honest abe would choose?:goofer:
well, truthfully, there are some things that just don't travel and there are reasons. For example, the reason that the pizza here is so good is that Chicago is home to hundreds of slaughterhouses and so the meat and sausage that we use here cannot be found elsewhere. (At least not as fresh.) The water in NYC is different and therefore doughs will taste different there than if made elsewhere. Like I said, some things just don't travel. Oh, and for the record... Although many people try to associate Chicago with deep dish pizza, it is by far not the best pizza here. We invented it and that's why people associate it with here, but thin crust is the better way to make pizza.
BTW, I got one in change today. This one looks like a normal cent and not like a matte coin. I am truly becoming puzzled.
I got 20 rolls at the bank yesterday, 8 of them are the 2010 D, new rolls. All are shiny, but there appears to be a coating on them tham makes them lighter than an uncirculated copper cent. I opened a roll I got a couple of weeks ago and swapped some out for P's, and I didn't see any matte finish on any of those.
I've been hearing alot of rumors saying this is the last year that the penny is being made, so i dont bealive it, but some sources can make people bealive it and they like to hoard the pennies.
Many forms of coinage expired. My mom talked about "Mils" she spent as a child. They were fractional cents used to pay taxes in Oklahoma. It is possible that the cent will be minted for collectors only and business cents disappear from the scene.
I still can not find one anywhere around here..... I am hoping and waiting for the day. I have been going farther from home lately, and hope it happens soon, lol
