Just received an email this morning that CCG has hired Mike D’Agostino as its new CFO. Judging from his Linkedin profile, this guy is a M&A specialist. The NGC APIs that the app and some of the advanced website features use have been broken for over a month, and the only response from NGC seems to be "our IT team is working on it." Cause for concern?
I can see an acquisition but who would they merge with? They seem to have so many different areas of focus that I can see them "parting it out." All I really have noticed is the total lack of moderation on their coin forum. A couple people on there have driven me away permanently. NGC doesn't seem to realize that the wild west forum thing turns off their potential customers too.
They have lost a lot of members. I'm not sure there is any moderation there. Folks seem to say anything they want, no matter how nasty they get. I could probably guess the ones that ran you off. I won't give names but there is one member that takes almost every thread off topic. There are a few there that have been banned both here and over on CU. I have been there 23 years and refuse to let the jerks run me off. It was a better place when Dena had control of the forums. With that said, there are some really good members there and they are helpful with all the new folks that think they hit it rich. I hope they get things fixed, one of these days.
I know who you're talking about with taking every thread off topic and spewing a bunch of nonsense. I can scroll on past. However there is another one there who seems to derive pleasure from driving people away, like it's his own personal sandbox. His generalization / stereotyping of an entire race was the straw that broke the camel's back for me. I'm very sensitive about that stuff, from personal experience. He clearly has no idea what he's talking about and that sort of thing has no business being on a coin forum. Yes, there are knowledgeable and helpful people on there (like you), but I can find that here and elsewhere without all the aggravation. As I said, it reflects badly on NGC as a whole.
