Another event occurred in 1856;&nbsp; Friedrich married Prussian Princess Louisa of Saxe-Weimar, daughter of Wilhem I sealing an alliance with Prussia.</p><p><br /></p><p>1906 was the 50th Anniversary (Golden) of Friederich I and Louisa.</p><p><br /></p><p>Two special silver coins were issued to commemorate the event: a 2 Mark piece measuring 28mm and weighing in at 0.3215 ounce Actual Silver Weight (350,000 for circulation - 200 Matte Proofs) and a 38mm 5 Mark weighing in at 0.8037 ounce ASW (50,000 for circulation - unknown amount of Proofs).
