<p>[QUOTE="Clinker, post: 853720, member: 6229"]Great Britain abolished the use of slavery for all the members of the West African States in the Year of our Lord, 1807. A special commemorative 2 Pounds coin was struck in 2007 to honor the fruition of that historic event. Don of World Coin Gallery graciously allows us to see this piece of English history:</p><p> </p><p><a href="http://worldcoingallery.com/countries/coine_cs.php?image=nmc5/76-1075&desc=Great%20Britain%20km1075%202%20Pounds%20(2007)%20Abolition%20of%20Slave%20Trade&src=Bill%20Henley&query=Britain%20km%201075" target="_blank" class="externalLink ProxyLink" data-proxy-href="http://worldcoingallery.com/countries/coine_cs.php?image=nmc5/76-1075&desc=Great%20Britain%20km1075%202%20Pounds%20(2007)%20Abolition%20of%20Slave%20Trade&src=Bill%20Henley&query=Britain%20km%201075" rel="nofollow">http://worldcoingallery.com/countries/coine_cs.php?image=nmc5/76-1075&desc=Great Britain km1075 2 Pounds (2007) Abolition of Slave Trade&src=Bill Henley&query=Britain km 1075</a></p><p> </p><p><font face="Arial">Also, in 2007, those seven states authorized the minting (a mere 850 each) of 27mm silver (0.25 oz.
