One, listed in Krause as Y# 318a.1, has two rosettes dividing the legend at the top on its reverse while the other, listed as Y# 318a.2, has a reeded edge in relief. Neither coin bears a date. Both coins were authorized as commemoratives celebrating the Founding of the Republic. The designs of these coins were first used on the 1912 (Y#318) Dollar which, also, commemorated the Founding of the Republic.
