    Resurrecting this old thread to show this similarly-themed coin of Amastris in Paphlagonia. It's not the most flattering portrait of the empress, nor is it FDC (but look at the other museum specimens).

    Obv: ΦΑΥCΤΕΙ-ΝΑ CΕΒΑCΤΗ, bare-headed and draped bust right.
    Rev: AΜΑCΤ-ΡΙΑΝΩΝ, tripod entwined by serpent, head left.
