SB 1966, 26 mm, 3.3 g&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; </p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><p>In the past I had painted around the edged of the coin with a a soft brush in gimp, then filled in the background with the same brush.&nbsp; This would frequently leave &quot;brush dents&quot;&nbsp; on the coin and areas in the background where I would miss painting.&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; Here a pic of a coin in another thread with the exposure adjusted to really show off my mistakes.</p><p><br /></p><p>[ATTACH=full]788364[/ATTACH] </p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><p>Now I paint the background with a HUGE brush that is as large as the canvas so I can&#039;t miss any spots.&nbsp; I also don&#039;t paint around the edges of the coin, I use the free select tool and just cut them out of the original pics and paste them on the painted background.&nbsp; No more weird coin edges. </p><p><br /></p><p>Post any trachy coins, or new pics of old coins![/QUOTE]</p><p><br /></p>
