I got my no edge lettering dollar. A seller had some listings at $80, buy it now, if you search for buy it now items, there may be some left at 80 bucks, seems like a good price. Also, FYI, one of the guys I will not name who is selling these errors just passed $15,000 in sales before fees, Congrats to the seller.

 Now I'm really choking. That's a decent sum of money. Especially on one coin. That's it. Tomorrow I'm getting all the rolls I can get my hands on! lol

There are about 2500 of the no edge coins in Tallahassee alone. I know of a local coin dealer who has about 700 of them.

Paul, that is a very nice error coin.By the way,President Washington's portrait is on the obverse, not the reverse.

    Washington Dollars Worth

    n_sandler4,
I know you have been selling those Washington Dollars on ebay, but you are selling them way under value. Most coin dealers and/or collectors will tell you that they will be around $1000. My lowest estimate was $200 a coin and even with that being its price you are still low. You might want to wait until this news hits the coin magazines next week and the demand for them rise even more before you sell them at such a low price on ebay.

Well, I have one of these up on ebay right now, and someone emailed me telling me that it is indeed a clashed die. They told me where to look and I can see Washington's other eye in Liberty's armpit, and on the obverse her crown is very clearly seen below Washington's hair....Pretty sweet=)

I was supprised at what this sold for! To bad you didn't list it when you first found it:headbang: The drop in the prices has been dramatic to say the least. To think I didn't even buy one, that usually means the price should have went only up!
Anyway, I don't think you could complain.

Here is a picture of the obverse clash of liberty's crown, along with a picture of the clashed areas from the reverse of the coin....I believe I oriented them the correct way....

Just to let ya'll know, I was almost beginning to doubt that this was actually a clash until I learned of the clash on the obverse. The obverse clash is undeniable proof that this is indeed a clash. Yet I called NGC today, and they said they were only recognizing broadstrikes and the no edge lettering varieties...what would they do if I sent this in?

Don't know about NGC, but you might want to send it to Coneca for an authoritative attribution.

I hear that a well known Error dealer puts the number of No Edge Lettering at around 1,000,000 pieces.

How would someone come up with a figure like that? I hear 50% of all statistics are made up!!

I think this guy came up with the number after:
    Research
    Searching auctions
Talking to people at the Mint.

    and the like---

Well statisticly at least 50% of all statistics could be made up but there again I think that might be Probability

The mintage figure of the plain edge errors could be higher than 1,000,000 pieces though.
