They are of the same weight and fineness as the Tiberius denarii, and Tiberius was Augustus&#039; chosen heir after the deaths of Gaius and Lucius. So there&#039;s no reason these coins couldn&#039;t have been found in circulation alongside the denarii of Tiberius.
