    Don't "print" in Cyrillic. Russians will laugh at you like you're a child. I learned that the hard way, lol.

    Transnistria isnt the first country that issued plastic coin. In fact the record goes further than 100+ years issued in Cocos Keeling island which is now adminstrated by Australia.

    They are not the first to use plastic coins for circulation, that honour goes to the keeling cocos islands

    One of the quirks of the ex-USSR states is that roads that crossed the republics of the USSR borders were not a problem in the USSR - but when they became independent countries all of a sudden there are roads that criss cross the borders in several places. Which is exactly how I "visited" Transnistria in 2008 while in transit to another part of the country I was in. It wasn't the "kosher" way to go through, but avoided the customs hassles and bribes etc.
