Trajanus Decius - Dacia

    I have a Gordian III from Viminacium (I think it is AN IIII, not the best coin ever)

    Viminacium - bull and lion
    Dacia - eagle and lion. Not sure why they chose these two animals, as they are not Dacian symbols, will have to check this.

    Ah, that makes sense.
    I thought they were some mythological symbols.
    Probably the eagle and lion stand for 2 legions connected to Dacia.

    Everybody seemed to have Decius's Dacia coin, except me (on the road :) )
    I think I overpaid a little (32 EUR) but I really wanted the coin. New emperor, Dacia reverse, good condition (for my tastes), I am happy.
