This one was up for auction (Solidus Auction 43, lot 211, Jun 23, 2019) when this thread was going the first time around. Not at all, great detailed Denarius RC. I found a pic from my holiday last September at Bari where there is a section of Via Traiana, exposed under the modern walkway near the beach at Bari.
Thanks for sharing the pic of your personal inspection of Trajan's road last fall, @Ancient Aussie! Here's a denarius with Abundantia on the reverse- perhaps celebrating the prosperity that funded highway construction (among other projects) underway during Trajan's time as emperor. Trajan (98-117 AD). AR Denarius. Rome, 98 AD. Laureate head right / Abundantia seated left on chair formed by crossed cornucopia, holding scepter. 17 mm. 3.4 g.
