Not there beef. I tried to open the link but it failed. Oops. It's there now. Forget what I said or just pretend I'm not here.
Wow, Topcat => that's an amazingly sweet OP-coin!! (comfy-congrats) I happen to have three Ragin' Trajan (I should buy a few more, eh?) Trajan Tet Trajan Dupondius Ragin' Trajan Awesome => AE Dichalkon
Great coins, Steve. Let me guess. That is a Rhino called 'Elizabeth' (Taylor?). I heard that she could be a bit that way when the mood took her. So Trajan was another of her conquests - don't recall reading that in her biography.(Lol)
(I remember him in the Jackson 5 when he looked like that, and now he is gone. Mind you, I remember Elizabeth in 'National Velvet' with Mickey Rooney, and they're gone, too. I think Trajan has gone, as well.)
Here's another Trajan I have to add to this cool thread. One of my very first ancient coins. Trajan; 98-117 AD Bronze; AS 27mm/10.4g OBV: IMP CAES NERVA TRAIAN AVG GERM PE Laureate Bust Draped R REV: TR POT COS III PP Victory walking L holding shield w SQOR inscribed and palm (RIC 417, Cohen 628)
@JBG> I (also) love your Avatar. Nice to see the 'real' King of Rock 'n' Roll getting recognized. That man helped to launch the careers of most of the (recording) stars of the late 50's and early 60's such as The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Elvis, The Beach Boys, Bo Diddley, and the list goes on.
Trajan. AD 98-117. Æ Sestertius (26.60 g, 6h). Rome mint. Struck circa AD 116-117. Laureate bust right, wearing aegis / REX PARTHIS DATVS, Trajan seated left on daïs, presenting Parthamaspates to Parthia kneeling right; behind Trajan, prefect standing left. RIC II 668; Banti 97. This bust style is about 10 x rarer than what is typically seen. My only AE Sestertius.
