Trajan Decius AR Antoninianus. 249-251 AD. OBV: IMP C Q M TRAIANVS DECIVS AVG, Radiate, draped & cuirassed bust right. REV: PANNONIAE, Twin Pannoniae, veiled, standing front, both looking left, each wearing robe reaching to feet and holding standard, both raising hand. REF: RIC 23 This is a reshoot of the coin I got from VK and his photo. I just reshot the coin without the flip. My camera skills are improving but I still have way more to learn.
Terrific coin Gil---it resembles one I have but in significantly better condition...and the reverse?? JA, it's not me and that one time I tried airplane glue accidentally while an adolescent building model airplanes (LOL), it's Bing...now he has me seeing hitch hikers on coins!!!
Nice ... fantastic lookin' pickup, brother Gil-galad (congrats) => I agree with Bing (the twin hitch-hikers are awesome) I only have one Trajan Decius example (Tet)... => oh, and yes, your photography skills are getting sweet (far better than my gnarly ol' home-shots!! ... NOTE: that is the seller's photo, above)
I want to like you coin, but your man axed Philip...I just cant say I like it, but know that I want to.
Thanks for the compliments, guys. The coin really appreciates it. And in turn, Philip got axed. What comes around goes around in the Roman Empire.
