Trading part of my collection for a high value coin.

Whipps...do you have any estimate on what it would cost someone to replicate the collection you are trying to sell ? And do you know how much less you are being offered or would be offered ?

That is a sad story, but must be somewhat atypical as any collector with an ounce of common sense does not buy coins in a collection without getting other collectors, etc. to check out his new purchases to see how he did. And it probably speaks to a need to be diplomatic, seeing losing appraisals coming. No one can fix grief or economic trouble. You could also recommend other larger dealers who could give her a second opinion.
