I posted my trade dollar but I also posted a few goloid actually being made for trade so call it Half credit Each
Is that the "Micro" S? I have one that looks like that and NGC says that's what it is (Mine is not as nice).
It’s not attributed as that on the label. It’s my one and only Trade Dollar, I’ll have to research that. I was not aware of the Micro S variation.
That's the "Wide CC" variety. The exact same die was used on a few 1873, 1874, 1875 and 1876 Carson City trade dollars. The 1874 is generally thought to be the second scarcest of the 4-coin subset (the 1875 has only 3 known and is by far the rarest), although it may be on a par with the 1873. They are all scarce, with the 1876 the most common of the four.
Yep, I have 2 of the 74s and one of the 76. still looking for a 73 and of course the elusive 75 ( probably more likely that I'll find a raw diamond in my driveway).
Yes, only 3 known. There are two XF details examples and mine, which is a VF30. There must be more out there, but not many...
It's a reverse die where the c's in the mintmark are small and widely spaced, used from 1873 through 1876. as Mbogoman said:
