I have noticed the bigger they are the more "pull" they have and probably sent an x pensive jug of single-malt scotch to the right guy at the service.....
That's your opinion, and you are entitled to it, but please don't continue to spout it as numismatic gospel in an attempt to make yourself seem superior to others. It doesn't work and it only serves to make you look like a fool and a bully. I have a deep disdain for people that feel that their way is the right way and the only way, and that everyone else should fall into lockstep behind them or be publicly ridiculed and humiliated. You, sir, are the idiot!
The grading companies are not answerable to any external individuals ( except for the SEC for the one(s) traded on the stock exchange) They can change their standards , prices, holders, font, insignia, and possibly even sneeze on the coins, and there isn't much one can do ( except learn to grade and not submit to that service). Would you believe that the owner of the company buying 200 F-150s gets a better deal on his personal SUV? What about people who pay the bucks for a football shaped colored sticker, and then those who pay even more in the secondary market for it. Silly Wabbits.
I like to think I am not an idiot when I buy certain MS70 coins for a certain set Im trying to obtain. I actually prefer buying a graded coin over raw unless you really know the guy your buying from. just my 2 cents. John
He would be a bigger idiot if I could get him to sell me MS70s at raw prices. Looks like I lost my chance to be rich.
believe me if I own any I will unload it on you, b/c IMO there are no such thing as a MS70 (perfect) coin. ..
That is because MS70 does not indicate a perfect coin. Most folks don't realize that MS70 has a range, just like any other grade. The range for a 70, is very near perfection to the theoretical but not existent perfect coin.
Given the vast majority of 70 coins drop significantly in price I would say that you can think whatever you want about yourself but I for one would not call that behavior savvy.
The MS-70 game comes with great risk. Vegas has a point. Be careful. I wonder what the cost of a complete set of Silver Eagles in 70 would be?
I wondered how long it would be before someone picked up on that. Two pages and almost four days. Impressive.
