Regarding patina on this coin...., it is nowhere near as pronounced in flash as it is in photos. Left lower field of the reverse looks three shades lighter, thats all. One more thing just occured to me. I know that people search with metal detectors, sometimes strip(clean) the coin to the base and than use some chemical method to re patinate the coin. I have seen some coins that have been said to pass this process and they usually looked perfect.
Casts are not always done from a genuine host coin. They are often made from a modern creation. In other words, someone made a fake coin in a certain media (maybe clay, metal, etc). They then make a mould from that fake and use it to cast additional copies.
I just remenbered this article who shows that forgers also just want to flood the market with their crap. https://www.forumancientcoins.com/numiswiki/view.asp?key=Modern Fakes in Uncleaned Lots
