I wouldn't agree...some of their coins are cheap...I've bought a few and they have all been under $100...so far Speedy
I think the reason why MS65RD Lincolns will be (or are) hot is because KEEPING them red is a challenge all in its own! Consequently, the survival rate of Wheatie Lincolns in a RED state are getting more and more scarce for a growing numismatic community. I ran into a collector who unfortuntely stored his Lincolns in his attic (in Florida). He was like many of us. He would collect for a while and then walk away only to revamp his collection interest in cycles. When he pulled out his Lincolns, many of them toned severely and there you have it, another Lincoln RED BU cent that is not RED anymore! They are more like: BROWN Also, finding any reds (even at shows) before 1930 is really tough...unless you have deep pockets. Just look at the prices Heritage and other auction houses are getting for CERTIFIED MS65 Red Lincolns before 1930! I saw a 1927-S in MS65 condition go for over $20,000. How about a 1919-S? Sure they minted a bunch (139,760,000), but try finding one in a true RED MS condition! Here's one (MS64RD) that IMO is on the verge of going RB that sold for over $1,600!!
Shatsi I'm the other way...I like them circulated....I'm going to do a UNC set but I think the circulated ones look neat and they make a nice set. Speedy
