Nice... but could you make the Turtle swim, the horse gallop, the crab wiggle, Tanit speak (or maybe devour a human sacrifice..), Athena chuck that spear, lion roar... kinda stuff like that as it is rolling through each coin? Maybe some sound, and all the politically correct rainbows? Just something little to keep my interest in the post.

    LOL :D :D :D

You DID make me have to learn to make side by side trays, then make a 12 Coin tray... This would be the LEAST you could do. :D
(BTW, thanks, it DID inspire me to learn how to use the program... :) )

I leave that work to the main act. Consider my .gif(t) an opening act to warm up the crowd. If the main act is a no-show.........well.......I can only be responsible for my little part of the show.

Plus I don't have the SW for that.

As others have mentioned, my Top Twelve list changes on a daily basis. It's especially fluid at the moment because of the recent NAC and CNG auctions. However, here's my Top Twelve based on this afternoon's preferences:

@AncientJoe, I will take the dozen, thanks, but only if any free gift comes with them !!!

This thread, on a general basis puts me to death.
I just can't imagine what an event it would be if everyone who posted in it joined together to show them. I suddenly feel very little

I couldn't pick 12 from AJ's collection. First would be the Vespasian and everything else would follow as second choice. I want to hold that Vespasian so badly, I can taste it. Apart from the glorious colours, we know where that coin was on a certain date in history. It doesn't get any better than that.

That Kyrene stater (2nd row, 3rd across) is quite a find. What's the historical significance of it?

Another dozen I was eagerly waiting to see. Obviously all stunners, from a larger group of stunners.

Good to see my first gold coin again Eng, and great to see that it is among your best coins. If I compiled my top 12 coins and I still had your coin it would probably be included :D The others are nice too, of course!

Thanks! It was my main target at this past Triton auction and while it took a bit of a battle to get it, I was thrilled. As far as I'm aware, it was just a creative engraver depicting a front-facing quadriga. I haven't been able to find any definitively attributable historical event to it, but I admittedly need to spend more time on it.

Thanks! That coin (from the Kunstfreund and Pozzi collections and a few other important ones in the interim) is a unique Clazomenae drachm depicting a swan on the reverse with arguably one of the finest facing portraits on a Greek coin on the obverse.

I saw the Social War issue right away. Hard to miss the Italic inscription! (yes, I am one of those bad 'ol RR collectors.... but on an "academic" level) Carthago, your collection is beyond world class... and that's just a dozen of them?! What an astounding set. I am still gasping. Medic!

Sextus Pompey, with Scylla on one side, and a pharos (of Messina, perhaps) and galley on the other.
