Thanks @Mike Margolis I really liked the story behind this coin. When I heard about the sale there were only a few hoard coins left. I managed to grab this one.

 

A fantastic year, Orfew!! They are all great, but frankly it would have been a fantastic year if all you had bought was #1!

I would also like to give you a special thanks for helping me out with a couple of coins this year, including my own Quidenham, pictured below, plus an Eleanor of Aquitaine (still no photo):

Man. Acilius Glabrio AR Denarius. Rome, 49 BC. Laureate head of Salus right / Salus standing left, leaning against column and holding serpent. Crawford 442/1a. Ex Quidenham hoard, probably buried during Boudicca's revolt.

 

You are welcome @Severus Alexander . I am glad you were able to get those 2. Your Quidenham coin has its of character and of course the story is remarkable.

 

Congrats on a great year Orfew, all your coins are fantastic, it would be hard to pick a favorite, since they all have their own uniqueness. I hope 2019 is just as good to you.

I think it may be a top five instead. I wanted to wait until everyone got a chance to post their top ten lists. I will probably post it later tonight.
