There are too many worthy coins to choose but the one that draws me back for another look is the liberal triens. I would certainly like a backpack full of small change like this.:joyful:

Great coins Brian, and I'm glad we've had a chance to discuss most of them individually - they are all so rich in history and numismatics. I finally figured out your collecting strategy - you're aiming for one of everything.

Just like Alexander the Great, whom inspired the Roman Empire: I will take them ALL! (ala, Collecting Kingdoms, City-States, etc. as they conquered the World...)

LOL, thank you @dougsmit ... being a third of an As, that is such a cool piece! Huge and heavy... fun for pocket change!

Not doubt it is a winner worth keeping. I am very honored to be able to contribute to expanding your interests. I too have an incredible experience with @Ancientnoob. As for the French Revolution, it is also something really significant to collect as well. I only have 3 coins related to that period

One common theme for the majority of my collecting: I really like the coins of the Roman Republic, and those cities, Empires, and states that interacted with the Republic at that time... ie: Carthage, Makedon, Italia, etc...

Thank you very much. It is difficult for me to just post the 30. As I look at and post some of my capture, I keep thinking: " I should have posted THAT one in my Top Coins! "

I wondered if your pic of the Stater was the same. Noob took a wonderful pic. That is actually my first EL piece.

Thank you for the kind words. It was a fun year. I actually have picked up a couple cool ones just after the Carthage EL Stater/Dekadrachm. (An AV Sultani of Suleiman the Magnificent and an AR Quinarius of Marc Antony)
