AVT KAI CЄOVHPOC, laureate head of Septimius Severus right / AKP-AC-IΩ-TΩN, cult statue of Artemis Ephesia facing, with two arm supports. SNG Munich 21; BMC 20. Nicely contrasting dark and light green patina, minor surface roughness. Extremely fine.

I like those Gallic breakaway emperors. This year I picked up a Postumus too, from a hoard, checking off two boxes for me (a Gallic Emperor and a hoard coin; seller's pic). Your examples are really nice. I'd like to complete a mini-set of those breakaway emperors, minus the really rare, expensive usurpers of usurpers. Here's the checklist I made out, given my budget.

A nice set Aidan! I like the Syracuse bronze and A Pius sestertius. I always use ms paint to save a reduced pixel size photo for posting. I open each photo, save as the same name with an "a" on the filename, then reduce the size to 1200 pixels wide. They take less time to upload and display that way while still having interesting detail. John
