Well it was easy to pick which ones to post that weren't FEL TEMP's since there was only a total of 4, so here they are lol.

#4 A cheap one but I picked it up because it looked odd.

    Constantius II
    FL IVL CONSTANTIVS NOB C
    GLORIA EXERCITVS
    dot TRP dot
    RIC 93

#3 Definitely far from what I usually get. One thing I like about this is how it looks and feels like a Byzantine coin (maybe and over strike?)

Philip IV VIII Maravedis No Visible 1659-1652

#2 My first coin on the year. Simply, it was cheap, had a nice portrait and I wanted it.

Seleukid Kingdom. Antioch on the Orontes. Demetrios I Soter 162-150 BC.
    Drachm AR

#1 A type I've wanted for a while. A nice style and a good price.

I have a soft spot for the Sinope coin, but the Constantius II is very interesting.

I think the "locks" are post mint damage but not a 100%

Interesting set on non-ftrs. I like the Phillip coin.
I bought a Mexican half Real in a lot that included 2 or 3 centuries (1300 to 1600) I did not have.

Nice selections. I need a sinope still but haven’t found that one at a price point I would pay.

Wise picker. I chose number one of Constantius II. I think I have a nearly similar one, and would like to know what kind of striking error was behind that strange-looking coin? Good Luck Randy.

Well okay, but I hope you're also going to post your top 10 FTRs-- you're our resident FTR specialist so it's probably a contractual requirement :D.

Constantius II's Hassidic hair curl is funny. At first I thought it was part of the die buy you're right-- it must be PMD.

The Sinope is my favorite. Athena looks very intense-- quite a sexy look for her-- and you can practically see Perseus heaving from his exertions.

Also like the Sinope coin. Constantius II might be a barbaric imitation.

^^ That there was a CoinTalk insider's joke at Randy's expense. :p (Just joshin' you Randy!)

The style on the Sinope is indeed impressive! Great coin. On the Constantius II, I wonder if it is a partial brockage, with the dotted border of another coin making the funky sideburn.

    Most definitely!

Weirdo Constantius II is pretty hip, but man, I really dig those Spanish colonial absolute mess overstrike/stamp coins!

Here is one of mine, it was super fun researching what the heck all that stuff stamped over the coin was!
