Brian, they are all great coins but I like the Daric best. Having said that I would gladly accept any of those into my collection.
Everyone who has posted their top 10 for 2017 has posted wonderful acquisitions. Your top 10 falls in the same category.
Thank you EVERYONE for your kind comments. I am not ignoring, and excuse my lapse in commenting. I am inundated with Grandkids all day today...
I've always loved this type of coin -- visually it's an eye-catcher and yours has all the essential elements well centered on the obverse. A great 2017 pickup!
Well that is a metric tonne of history right there, atta boy Gandalf!! I'm jealous of every single one. (Except the flying pig. I like it, but I'm OK with you not giving it to me.) Such a drag when the rugrats take away from coin time, eh? (joke!)
Outstanding coins, congratulations! I particularly like the Julius Caesar portrait coin. I am in the same boat as you as far as responding to posts today - I am inundated with both grandchildren (although they are all mature adults now) and great-grandchildren.
Nicely done Brian. You know I favor the Daric! A really great example of a historically fascinating coin. I am surprised everyone is posting thier top 10 so early. I might have difficulty putting together a top ten list for my purchases this year.
From you posts during the year I was aware you have been adding some very interesting pieces to your collection. However, seeing them all together really brings that home: Caesar denarius, Vindex, Cartago...very nice, all!
