You beat me to that one Roto. Now does anyone know what the G. stood for? Off topic but a good trivia question. "Like hey Dobe" can you anwer it?
Nope, I actually saw what it means on an episode and BTW I never saw these "live". I'm getting older but not that much older.
Well, these days you have to be pretty old just to have seen the reruns. I haven't seen them in syndication since the 70's. But I watched them too- the reruns that is.
I occasionally watched Doby Gillis in its original run. I was a bit too young to understand it at the time.
Now I'm in a quandry it seems. For starters I owe Roto an apology for telling him he was wrong. So here it is. SORRY ROTO. Ick, yuck, ptuii that left a bad taste! I just went to Wiki and the G does stand for Walter. However, I do remember an episode where Dobie's father asked Maynard what the G stood for and his reply was "like G man". I could be wrong but I do tend to remember stuff like that. Silly but hilarious. You got it Roto - tell him what he's won Vanna! "A gold star, a happy face and a can of Spam!"
*declines prize* I didn't really know it. I happened to see it when I looked up how to spell Maynards name right. *picks Vanna up and runs off*
