Gosh, I hope you recover soon. That's scary.

MANY ancient coins are very affordable (very easy to find $20-100 coins). Vcoins has an all-encompassing mall. I'd recommend Savoca (Germany), Incitatus coins, Tom Vossen, Zurqieh (from Dubai), Forum, etc. Most of the dealers there are ok to buy from.

Anyway, we don't want to hijack their thread, so the best course would be to sign for Numisforums (ancients specialist) and/or search the Ancients thread here. See you there!

Valentinian has an excellent site for beginners: http://augustuscoins.com/ed/sitelinks.html

Now back to regularly scheduled programming. Both ancients and modern collectors agree that toning/patina are good things.

Just for those looking for info on the web, it is Mast cells "Tryptase" . Some what like the brake/accelerator in a car- not fully accelerator - not fully brake, for best travel so the balance is usually maintain , but not all as you now know, When out of balance. they can call it a syndrome. Modern medical tools are so great in today's world. Best wishes.

Nero. That is quite the primer you created. You put my Roman civ. prof. from college to shame. Really connects faces with places in history. Thank you. James

Just for those that need a Brake job, that medical "explanation" is the reason that you should not fix your own, as your next door neighbor suggested.
