I didn't just happen upon the copper plated steel site, about 2 years ago I got a handful of foreign change out of a reject slot on a coin counter at Wal-Mart. I didn't take much time to go through it, just put it all in the tray in my truck console. A week or so later while going to lunch, I took a screwdriver out of my pocket and laid it in the same tray while getting in the truck. When i got out again, I grabbed the screwdriver which was magnetic and one of the coins was stuck to it. It turned out to be a copper plated steel euro cent. Had never seen one before then.
