Toner purchased raw on Ebay...yes you can grab nice coins if you have the knowledge

    I think I see what you see, it appears to be more than just a spot. Although, I still believe that won't be enough to hold that coin back.

    In hand the spot is nearly invisable but it is certainly there and there's no pitting etc....just a spot of something like dirt or grease etc...can really tell even under magnification but I am not going to take a chance of getting the coin BB by picking at it to see if it can be removed lol

    Can you show us a photo of the reverse? I have seen some toned proof Olympic coins before and they are usually spectacular. The love the eagle design on the reverse and think it looks fantastic with toning. I don't think it would hurt to have that coin certified at all.
