After doing a little research online I find out many of these so called "Toned" ASE I see on ebay are created by baking them in a potato, putting a chemical on them and/or lighting them on fire! I never found them very attractive myself and have never purchase one or would ever consider purchasing one. Even if i could by one for spot price I would find it hard to do so fearing that I would just be encouraging the practice. After all there is plenty of other ASE to buy. Would also never consider trying to "Tone" any of my ASE just to try and get more out of them. The whole practice just seems a deceptive to me. Wonder how many people buy toned ASE and have no idea how they got that way?
Do a little more research and you will be able to spot one easily, one bad apple should not ruin the bunch. Sure you can look on ebay and find artificial toners of any series but that does not mean that with a little education you can avoid getting one.
