As a boon Indra said, "You will not be afraid of death, nobody will be able to kill you with any weapon in war." Hanuman became almost invincible. I entirely depend on you.” Hanuman agreed to save Yayati. When Rama sought Yayati, Hanuman accosted them. He fell at the feet of Rama, “My lord! Please be kind to Yayati. Don’t kill him. He is innocent. Let him go free.” Rama had already strung is Ramaban arrow and could not stop.
