Wow!! What an absolute creep!! He should change this statement ***ITS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND NICE COINS *** to ***ITS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND NICE COINS THAT I AM SELLING ***. This guy needs a little street justice. If he actually thinks he found a nearly perfect Red example of a 1794 Cent and that eBay is the best place to sell it? He needs needs to spend a few years in a mental hospital.
He's a smartass con artist and he is just laughing at you. Since the coin was sold to an assistant curator of the ANA museum, I would send them the email that he sent you and ask them if they bought the coin. Then we'll see if he's still laughing.
He also made a claim that you can't sell an uncertified coin of ebay for more than $2500, yet he did it with his "flying eagle" cent. I guess that doesn't really count as a coin though.
holy smokes: he is selling them (the 1856 Flying eagles) as a pair now! But at a discounted price http://www.ebay.com/itm/1856-U-S-Fl...088?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item51d1e022c8 oops! that isn't him, another seller.
