Hey everyone I just wanted to share with you today's change because it seems very lucky! (Also a couple questions) 2 bi sentenial quarters 1 extremely odd quarter (I think might be missing a clad layer that's why (I think) it's the way it is 1964 D nickle 1961 cent 1968 S cent 1980 dime (looks awfully thin) You can see it better on the second picture but I think it might be missing a clad layer because it has a copper like finish under the black, that's why I think the black got there (complete wild guess) also should I give it a acetone dip? Quite the looker I think . Thanks, Jacob
The Quarter looks the way it does, is because it has environmental damage. They can be very neat looking but usually not worth more than a quarter. What is the weight of the dime?
The 1988-P quarter is just discolored. Environmentally damaged, as mentioned. Spend it. Really, that's all just spender stuff, but the 1968-S cent is fun. That might be worth a few times face value (in other words a few cents, plural, rather than just one cent). Some dealer I saw somewhere was paying 28 cents for the Bicentennial quarters, as I recall. Not that it would be worth the expense of shipping them somewhere.
FYI: bi·cen·ten·ni·al ˌbīsənˈtenēəl/ noun noun: bicentennial; plural noun: bicentennials; adjective: bicentennial 1. the two-hundredth anniversary of a significant event. "last year's commemoration of the bicentennial of Mozart's birth" adjective adjective: bicentennial 1. relating to a two-hundredth anniversary. "the bicentennial celebrations" and it is 'nickel'
