There's more but I don't want to flood the thread with even more.
If you want to see it they're
    John II (Portugal) 1481-1495
Lucca (Italy) Enrico III-V 1039-1125 Silver Denier

And a few more that I can't identify for the life of me.

Interesting items, most of which I do not collect, but others here do. They will be able to help with the ID of the Sassanian coins. Were you able to get a good price?

    Thanks man. I thought I did. I paid $1200
I think the gold is about $500, the Tetradrachms run around at least $300 in that shape from what I've seen, could get more. Same with the Athenian Owl. Plus the other silver Persians & 8 Real.
I think as a whole around 2k worth of coins.

I think the Owl and the Tets will sell for more than you think. Personally, I bought an Owl at the Orlando FUN Show for well over $300 and it's not in near the shape as this one. The Tets have a tendency to sell for more than the $300 you think. I take it you bought the Ancients in order to sell them. Good luck with them all.

That's an excellent deal imo. Let us know when/where you sell them (if it's what you want), could be interested in that owl ;)

Honestly I was there for the silver and bought a bunch. When I saw these I had to buy them after getting some help on the forums. I'd like for them to go to a good home. As much as I think they're the coolest thing ever the money I have tied up in them is a bit rich for my blood as I'm not a collector.
Bing, I do live in Tampa. If you're interested in seeing them in person shoot me a message.

I would be interested in the two Tets and the owl. I live in Canada so I wouldn't be able to buy them in person, but if you want to work something out for them, send me a message.

Since Cointalk members were indispensable in the identification and attribution of these coins, it might be a nice idea to donate some of the proceeds to the site. ;)

    Hello Dionysos,

In your opinion, what year is the owl coin? It looks quite archaic to me.

I know there was a thread around here, but I can't seem to find it. PM Doug.
