Those obverse fields on the Morgan are unbelievable. A shame about Lady Liberty's encounter with that angry momma bear...
I'm sorry to say that I totally disagree with the grade on the '80CC. Her face has just far too much damage. 62 would be a good day, and 61 would be typical. Maybe the grader lost his virginity the night before. Chris
I'll go along with the VF-35, seems about right. Now, as to the 1880CC -- just too many 'dings' and 'nicks' for a 63. Be HAPPY, I was afraid they might have graded it 58 or 59 or maybe 60(?) and the slight smoothing of the eagle breast worried me. Hey, be happy and smile. Hey, I've a couple pieces of currency that came back as VF when I thought only a Fine was possible and of course I'm happy.
Alan you didn't remind me that New Market was this weekend However I do have a few free hours mid day...... I'll be up .....
I agree, there are too many marks for the 63 grade. I'm 100% sure it was "Market Graded" based on the toning and variety rarity. And yes Frank I attributed it at the show.
