Today’s local coin shop pick up

    Today I went to my local coin shop with my dad @Eric the Red and picked up some coins for a good deal.

    The platinum quarters are only worth face value, so you're not out that much.

    Yeah I figured just bought them to hang on too. They were in the bargain bin and plus they had my birth year.

    Being from a small town in the south (Tupelo Mississippi) I envy you city folks sometimes and the access to coin shows and coin shops. If you asked me WHERE the closest coin shop is here I'd GUESS and say "Memphis" 75 miles away. (I am sure there are closer ones out of a back of a garage but I don't trust them much).You did a good buy there with all that silver.

    I like the 1899 Barber; most of mine are worn nearly smooth.

    Liking those quarters and an ounce of silver is always good! Nice little haul you got there.
