That Morgan, while otherwise attractive, has the same distracting toning break that the Swiss coin does.

Alright then, have a crack at this one.

 

@physics-fan3.14 that is a fantastic coin, but the idea was...

The reason for my toned only rule was that I figured color is easier to judge with photographs than semi pl/pl/dpl coins.

 

Let's go ahead and use the nickel as your photos are very good and I'll score it separately from the toned coins.

It looks to be at least pl from the photo, so I will say YES to the Star.

 

Definitely star worthy. It looks PF CAM although I am certain it resides in your PL set and is a hammered gem business strike with cameo contrast giving it an easy pass for star.

If the nickel isn't PL, then yes, it deserves a star.

Beautiful Shield Nickel Jason. I'll say it gets a star for the contrast between the fields and devices. I assume it's PL.

 

Not quite 24 hours, but... this coin has a PL designation and a Star. The PL is for the superb mirrors, the star is for the stunning cameo contrast.

I'll let someone post a toned coin next to get back inside the rules

I don't like that mark on the Eagle's lower right wing, but I think it did get a star.

 

That one was a close call in the AT/NT thread. There is something that I don't quite like about it and was leaning towards QC, so my opinion is NO Star.
