Next up is something similar to what @physics-fan3.14 showed with the half dollars. This time we'll have two 1882-S Morgans. Note: #2 has a CAC sticker while #1 does not (just info, doesn't mean much here). Does #1 or #2 deserve a star? 1. 2.
I’m saying no on both Morgans. They are so common with fantastic bright rainbow toning that these two are stretch. The first doesn’t cover enough of the coin and the second doesn’t have enough vibrancy in the color.
When I first saw this coin on auction, I thought it was so ugly. Each day I would look at it, the uglier it got, until one day, I knew I had to have... I named it Darth Morgan. So, Star or No Star?

A quick update on the prior round(s): the two 1882-S Morgans were a definitive no. The top one was an example from eBay that graded MS 63 Star and sold for a little under $200. The bottom one is mine and is MS 67 without a star. I think mine (bottom one) is better (of course there is some ownership bias), but I would still be able to say that both should not star.
No star on "Darth Morgan" and if grading it I might be tempted to knock off a point in arriving at its market grade.
Both of the 82's had great luster on the Reverse. If only the Obverse had some red or green color or the colors covered more of the coin, I would have voted Yes on the Star.
