    I was borderline on the Rupee as well, but would have leaned towards a star. It went for around $160, which is ~$50 more than untoned examples (looking back, I regret not bidding a bit more).

    It's a beautiful coin and one that any collector would be proud to own; however, I am on the fence. If it has strong luster and the toning at 12 o'clock is brighter in hand, I would consider it to be a solid star candidate. If the luster is average or the color is darker I think it is a just miss.

    I would sure expect to see a star. Actually though, the random untoned areas on the cheek keep the coin from being what it could be, IMO.

    I'm on the same fence as you. :p
    I like it, but it doesn't scream star like certain coins do.

    In the end, I would vote YES on the star, but it would be close.
