Green sticker for the half, simply because it doesn't seem to be a C coin for a bust half in XF45. Of course, I'm probably just best off with "heads is bean, tails is no bean" the way I've been calling these.
Time for the reveal! This Bust Half does not currently have a CAC sticker, and I'm not sure if it was ever submitted. I think this falls into "unknown status but deserves a sticker." I've always wondered because I bought a very similar 1829 from the same seller at the same time, and it does have a CAC bean.

This IHC is a tough one. I think it is a solid 65 with some original mint luster. Even with that I probably wouldn't give it a green bean.
Seems like there's a pretty big hit on the cheekbone for a 65, or I'm just misreading the photo. I'd probably GTG 65 on this one, but no bean.
The above coin hasn’t been submitted. In my experience, CAC errs on the side of caution with color on Indian Head Cents. Rightly so as MS70 treatment can yield a variety of colors on these. This coin for example was submitted to CAC and as expected did not receive a bean despite being technically strong for the grade (MS64BN) IMO, stick to traditional RD, RB, and BN looks to maximize chances on IHC’s at CAC. While not nearly as questionable as my 1900, in my opinion the 1899 would likely fail based on the unusual color alone. @Mainebill - Back to you, sir.
On the blown up photos, I see something around the numeral "1" in the date. Kind of a greenish tinge, or halo effect. I think you sold the coin, but I am curious what that spot looks like in hand, or if you had noticed it? Toning, or something worse? Or nothing at all? I am wondering if that had an effect on the coin not stickering.
