Responding to a new question on an older thread... The top 7 and 5 on the OPs coin took a hit and flattened some of the features. That caused the 5 too look tilted, but it's not Also, consider how dies are made. A master hub is used to make master dies. Master dies are used to make working hubs, and finally a working hub is used to make multiple working dies, one of which struck your coin. I can't recall exactly, but the date is added at the master die or working hub stage (can somebody confirm the step??). It IS NOT added to the individual working dies that strike the coin. So, any tilted digit or letter would show up on multiple dies and therefore, lots and lots of coins and not likely to remain undiscovered for decades. Hope this explanation helps
I don't know what the value is, but I believe it isn't worth all that much... more than one cent though.
Interesting coin. I see the tilted 5 and the doubled rim. Is it me or the picture but does the base of the memorial look concave?
