What are your thoughts on these coins? I like toned coins myself, even more so with purdy colors but not outrageous AT looking colors.

I like how they say; (here is your uncirculated silver dollar)
That coin has definitely seen some form of circulation imo

I can see where you might say that, but I don't think the images are good enough to tell if it's wear or a little weak strike.

I think they are nice coins with totally market acceptable toning, and the holder adds a little value to them. I'd probably remove them from the holder and put them in something more archival, but keep the holder, too.

I'd sure take it for three bucks.:D Not a bad coin at all and the holder is quite cool!

Generally speaking, unless you're extremely lucky, those are terminal. I wouldn't pay much of a premium for the toning, regardless of strike.

...but eBay buyers would easily give $75-100 for that coin/holder (with good pictures.) Not saying I agree with either of you...but that's the market.

Well, it was the market 6 months ago. ;)

According to eBay it's higher than that now.

According to eBay, that exact coin is worth $114.61 (minus fees.)

Decent looking, uncirculated coin. Toning is colorful enough to be worthy of a premium, assuming that the obverse pops a little in the right light. I agree with getting it out of that holder, as it isn't going to do the coin any favors in the long term (although it's been there for over 40 years). Acetone might be in order, as there could be old deposits of dust or whatnot clouding the luster, depending on how it was stored. Was it in a plastic sleeve, as the first picture of the reverse seems to indicate?

I'll see if I can get some better photos but it may take a few days.

physics-fan3.14 You got any more of them.... prooflikes?

The toning appears quite attractive and perfectly natural. Tidy house Morgans are well known and usually sell well.
