THREE POUND TWELVE is actually a coin weight made of brass, not a coin. Its for testing comparing against a gold Portuguese 8 escudos. I have several more 3 Pence coins including Queen Anne & Charles II, James II
1727 Hamburg, Germany 1726 French Ecu 1720 Swedish 1 ore, looks to have been struck over something else. 1718 Swedish Daler
I hope it's OK if I stick my neck out and fill in a few dates with tokens. I think they are interesting. 1680 Spanish Netherlands
1682 Brandenburg (part of modern day Poland?) This is a 1682 18 groscher (1/4 thaler) of Brandenburg. I'm told that back in 1682 Brandenburg included some territory that would be in modern day Poland and eastern Germany. Therefore, might we consider this a very old Polish coin?
This Persian coin is called a “Larin”. It circulated around the Arabian Sea from the 16th to 18th Century. My 17th century Larin example weighs 4.83 grams and based upon its shape, was probably circulated in the area of Ceylon. The Larin was later traded at 5.5 Lari to the Spanish colonial piece of eight. If you want to learn more about this unusual trade coin you can read about it here: https://www.cointalk.com/threads/la...-–-counterfeit-detection.271102/#post-2280577 This coin and all my older coins are mostly without dates so they might be posted by Century as we all count-down further.
