    I'm no expert but you could look-up "Civil War Store Card". It is some type of store card that might be used for trade with a particular merchant. Here is another for trade at Alden & Frink dated 1863:

    In addition to "good-for" and advertising themes, there are also some cool CWTs that include patriotic themes.

    1862 Thaler of Schwarzburg-Rudolstadt. Unfortunately cleaned, but a mintage of 48,000 so you don't see one every day.

    This specimen was made for the numismatist Alfred S. Robinson. It has been a long time since I studied this piece. I believe that there are examples known in silver, white metal, & bronze. My example is white metal I believe.

    Medals & tokens like this one (of coin dealers) are actively collected by some folk. :)
