Three nice German New Guinea coins

    1 Pfenning,2 Pfenning and 10 Pfenning 1894 purchased in a big world coin lot in Springfield, MO when my wife & I were on a road trip in the early 2000's.

    Sorry, but I'm not that great working with photos so there are a couple of duplicate images here.

    Really nice lot there. Since Germany did not unify until 1871, there were very few German colonies and hence little colonial coinage. GNG material is some of the scarcest, and those bird-of-paradise coins are some of my favorite designs.
