Well, this set had a couple.&nbsp; Both have gorgeous rainbow obverse toning (plus and I thought I&#039;d like to share them with you here.&nbsp; Feel free to guess what you think they&#039;d grade (were they to be submitted) and if you&#039;ve seen some comparable coins out there on the open market.</p><p><br /></p><p style="text-align: center"><b>1982 Small Date Copper</b></p> <p style="text-align: center"><b><br /></b></p><p>Notes: As gorgeous as the LD Copper is below, the color on this one is stronger.&nbsp; Luster is a bit muted from the darker &quot;wash&quot; (if that&#039;s the right word?) on the obverse, but is still present.&nbsp; There is an interesting die crack running from the rim (around 12:05) down onto Lincoln&#039;s hair, as well as (darn it) a very light scratch/wipe running diagonally across his face.&nbsp; The fact that it&#039;s toned over (just catches the light from my lamps) suggests it was present when the coin was put into the card.&nbsp; Still, aside from that there are very few marks on this coin.</p><p><br /></p><p>[ATTACH=full]669518[/ATTACH]</p><p><br /></p><p style="text-align: center"><b>1982 Large Date Copper</b></p> <p style="text-align: center"><b><br /></b></p><p>Notes: The luster on this coin is <i>gorgeous</i>, especially on the obverse (where it counts).&nbsp; There is <i>much</i> more emerald green on the obverse.&nbsp; I can only make out a couple hits on this coin (almost nothing on the obverse, especially to the naked eye) and there are only a couple on the reverse - including a rim ding at 11:50).&nbsp; I have to say...in hand, this is one of the most colorful Lincoln Cents I&#039;ve owned.&nbsp; Comparable to that 1981 Two-Face I found earlier (can&#039;t find my original thread, but here is [USER=53130]@jester3681[/USER]&#039;s <a href="https://www.cointalk.com/threads/1981-lincoln-cent-two-face-gtg.289040/" class="internalLink ProxyLink" data-proxy-href="https://www.cointalk.com/threads/1981-lincoln-cent-two-face-gtg.289040/">GTG thread</a>.)&nbsp; Only troubling area is the darker smudge on Lincoln&#039;s shoulder that also appears in the fields above LIBERTY.&nbsp; Not sure if that&#039;s permanent or if it could be conserved away.</p><p><br /></p><p>[ATTACH=full]669519[/ATTACH]</p><p><br /></p><p>Here is a cell-phone shot (cent looks pink in this one, it&#039;s just how the light is reflecting - had to find the right angle to show the emerald green):</p><p><br /></p><p>[ATTACH=full]669522[/ATTACH]</p><p><br /></p><p>For fun, here are two more images of this coin with different lighting positions (also added the LED flash ring, so more detail with regard to color and condition but less luster.)</p><p><br /></p><p>[ATTACH=full]669531[/ATTACH] </p><p><br /></p><p>[ATTACH=full]669532[/ATTACH][/QUOTE]</p><p><br /></p>
