Have you sent anything to CAC? What percentage of your submissions earned a Green Bean? Are you willing to pay extra for a coin with a Green Bean?

I got a membership several years ago, and my first submission of 20 coins did very well, with most coming back with a Green Bean. I would like to send more coins, but I don't know which ones I sent. I used to be able to get this info from CAC, but I can't find it now. Thoughts?

Well if you submitted them directly yourself, you certainly could call up CAC customer service and ask them to get a copy of your original submission which would show you all the certs of the coins.

Alternatively, you could log into your CAC account and see your prior submissions as I can see mine going back even like 11 years. That would also privately show you the passed and failed coins so you don't resubmit the same coins.

I have submitted quite a few coins to CAC stickering over the years but nothing like the volume a dealer would submit. I submitted coins from my personal collection and that of my friend's personal collections. I also submitted coins that I planned to sell as duplicates from my type set. I and respect and enjoy using their service. I have not ever submitted to them for getting coins graded which they've been doing for about a year now. I also don't own any of their slabbed coins yet. Right now I'm still mostly interested in there stickering service.

I do pay more money for coins that are CAC approved. At the very least, I consider the sticker to be worth at least $25 is that's what it would cost me to submit them myself with postage and insurance. And certainly many coins deserve a larger premium than that.

THe ones that got a bean would have a green sticker on them, maybe a gold.

Good point! Certainly if the OP is wondering about coins that PASSED, the sticker ought to be a clue :p or perhaps they were re-holdered with the same certs (but no sticker)?

OP, if you want to lookup certs of stickered coins, you could paste in all your certs here:

I have never sent anything to CAC. So far as the sticker goes, I purchase the coins I like. The green bean has little influence on me. My reaction to the green bean range from, “Yes, I agree with that,” to ,”Really?”

If I limited my purchases to only CAC approved coins, I would missed out on some good deals and opportunities.

I'm not interested in the coins that stickered. I'm interested in the ones that didn't get a green bean. I don't want to waste time and money resubmitting ones that didn't sticker.

CAC stickered coins do sell for a premium on average in our auctions - and that premium has been increasing since 2017-2018. I remember back in the good old days (2011-2015) the premium for CAC was very small, compared to today's numbers.

Percentages vary a lot. Some of our clients get 0%, some get 30-35% (might be an average?), and others get 95%. The Koessl Collection got 100%, with several gold stickers. We used to be more liberal with what we would send in, but since the sticker review costs have increased at CAC, we're more strict on what we will send in (when it's left up to us).

In which areas and/or series do you see the biggest CAC premiums? e.g. early type, Morgans, classic commems, gold, etc. I’m asking specifically about green stickers as I know the gold stickered coins are going for crazy money. Also do premiums tend to be higher when there is a big price jump from the preceding grade? I realize this depends on a lot of variables including the eye appeal of the individual coin, but I would be interested to hear your overall perspective.
