<p>[QUOTE=&quot;Bonedigger, post: 399238, member: 4367&quot;]A quick little story.&nbsp; Back on the 5th of this month Steve Herrman, President of the Bust Half Nut Club drove al the way up from Denver to take a look at my set.&nbsp; I got good vibes from him the minute he stepped out of the car and we shook hands.&nbsp; His first words were, &quot;My God, you live WAY out in the country -- thought I&#039;d never find you -- everything is so green...&quot; LOL. <img src="styles/default/xenforo/clear.png" class="mceSmilieSprite mceSmilie8" alt=":D" unselectable="on" unselectable="on" /></p><p><br /></p><p>He then unpacked all of his reference material and came on into the house.&nbsp; I&#039;d set up a couple of card tables by the large bay window in the living room since he&#039;d said he preferred natural light &amp; a regular lamp, (100 watt light bulb).&nbsp; He immediately sat down and pulled out some of his treasures for me to look at while he was attributing my coins; four 1807s in AU/MS condition including a &#039;Bearded Goddess&#039; in AU-58, &amp; approximately 30-50 other CBHs in AU-MS shape, about all I could do was gasp...&nbsp; After a few words about his coins and some chit-chat (which were just laying on the table) he got right to work.</p><p><br /></p><p>He checked and attributed until about 6:00 PM (4 hours straight) and then said lets go get a bite to eat.&nbsp; I told him it&#039;s be a good long ride into town but if we&#039;re gonna head out this was the time.&nbsp; He got up and simply left his coins scattered on the card tables.&nbsp; I asked him if he wanted to box them up, but he said &quot;No, not necessary, I trust you guys&quot; - flashing a big smile.&nbsp; Meaning my wife and youngest daughter who were still at home when we departed... <img src="styles/default/xenforo/clear.png" class="mceSmilieSprite mceSmilie1" alt=":)" unselectable="on" unselectable="on" /> and we left for dinner.</p><p><br /></p><p>Our conversation wandered over several topics including politics, etc., while driving.&nbsp; I was impressed with his candor as he apparently was with mine.&nbsp; Steve said something like &quot;I can tell an honest fellow the minute I meet him...&quot; </p><p><br /></p><p>When we returned about 2.5 hours later, naturally nothing had been moved and all the coins were still where he and I had left them.&nbsp; We then sat down and finished checking the collection about 11:00 PM.&nbsp; For the next hour told me all about the club, had me sign some forms, and write out two checks (one for a half I purchased from his extras and the other for club admission).&nbsp; Steve left about 12:30, after a good 10 hours of coin talk. <img src="styles/default/xenforo/clear.png" class="mceSmilieSprite mceSmilie1" alt=":)" unselectable="on" unselectable="on" /></p><p><br /></p><p>A very likeable and savvy coin collector definitely with that hidden and honed SIXTH SENSE...</p><p><br /></p><p>Take Care</p><p>Ben[/QUOTE]</p><p><br /></p>
