The reports from the BEP are now believed to have typographical errors by many as the notes from the supposed duplicated runs haven&#039;t shown up in circulation or at least enough to prove the theory. As both runs were reported to have been printed at the same facility though and the only way to tell which run a note was from, was the back plate numbers, but some of those were the same across both runs. For instance, one print run&#039;s back plates were 1,3,2 and the other printing run&#039;s were 1,4,3. Both were reported to have started at serial number 00000001.
